We believe that your browser activity is your own business. The Web Pets Chrome Extension is designed with a fundamental privacy-first architecture. We collect absolutely zero personal data, search queries, location information, or browsing history.

2. How Settings are Stored

To let you customize your pet companions, the extension allows you to adjust speeds, sizes, toggles, and movement styles. These custom settings are saved entirely inside your browser's private local environment:

• chrome.storage.local: Your settings are written locally using Chrome's secure sandboxed storage API.
• Zero Transmission: None of these settings are ever uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any server or third-party database.
• Easy Deletion: If you uninstall the extension, all saved attributes and files are immediately and completely purged from your device.

3. Page Integration & Safety

To display your animated companions, Web Pets injects secure, non-intrusive container frames (overlays) into pages. These frames operate under extreme sandboxing guidelines:

• Isolated Shadow DOM: The pets are rendered in an isolated Shadow Root so that they are fully separated from the web pages' code and styles.
• Pointer-Events Passing: The full-page overlay container ignores mouse clicks completely, meaning clicks go straight to the webpage normally. Only clicks directly on the pet sprite trigger reactions (like hearts).
• No Content Inspection: The injected scripts do NOT read, inspect, or log any text, credentials, inputs, or sensitive data on the webpages you visit.

4. Developer Disclosures & Compliance

This policy complies fully with the latest Chrome Web Store Developer Terms of Service and regulatory user rights guidelines:

• Single-Purpose Policy: Web Pets serves a single purpose (spawning browser pets) and does not bundle spyware or hidden scripts.
• Zero Monitisation: The extension is completely free, does not inject advertisements, and does not sell analytical datasets.
